Applications, defences, and hearings before Ontario’s Landlord and Tenant Board.
The Landlord and Tenant Board is the administrative tribunal with exclusive jurisdiction over applications under the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) – the legislation that sets out the rights and responsibilities of both landlords and tenants in Ontario. D&D Associates Paralegal Professional Corporation has represented Ontario landlords in matters before the Board for over 40 years.
The forms serve as notices to end a tenancy early based on a contravention of the RTA. We will help you fill out and file the related forms corresponding to your situation.

D&D Associates Paralegal Professional Corporation has assisted clients in many areas of the law, including unpaid accounts, damage claims, and negligence matters in Small Claims Court.
The current limit of the Small Claims Court is $50,000.00. Many litigants choose to sue in Small Claims Court even if what they are owed is slightly higher than $50,000.00, as the cost to proceed in the higher court is greater and the process more time consuming.
“Their vast knowledge, experience and hard work makes them great to work with.”
Representation for landlords prosecuted under the Provincial Offences Act.
Municipal fire departments and building departments across Ontario actively inspect and enforce the Fire Code and Building Code, and a landlord who falls out of compliance can be charged and prosecuted under the Provincial Offences Act. These charges are frequently laid following a fire inspection, a building inspection, or a tenant complaint, and a conviction can carry significant fines. D&D Associates Paralegal Professional Corporation defends landlords through every stage of these prosecutions, from the first appearance to trial.
We review the charge or compliance order, assess the strength of the case against you, and identify the applicable defences, including due diligence and any procedural or technical issues with how the charge was laid.
“Very helpful, extremely knowledgeable and supportive during challenging matters.”
Representation for landlords facing an application before the HRTO.
Tenants may bring an application against a landlord at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO) alleging discrimination under the Ontario Human Rights Code, whether in connection with a tenancy application, an existing tenancy, or the enforcement of a landlord's rights under the Residential Tenancies Act. These applications carry real consequences and require a prompt, well-prepared response. D&D Associates Paralegal Professional Corporation represents landlords through every stage of the HRTO process.
We understand that a Human Rights application can be stressful, particularly when it arises alongside or in response to Landlord and Tenant Board proceedings. Our paralegals will review the allegations, assess your position, and build a clear, well-supported defence grounded in the facts and the applicable law.
Since 2007, licensed paralegals in Ontario have been authorized to represent clients directly, independently of lawyers, within a defined and regulated scope of practice.
Once licensed by the Law Society of Ontario, a paralegal may represent clients at tribunals, in Small Claims Court, in traffic and Provincial Offences court, and in certain other proceedings, as well as provide legal advice and negotiate on a client's behalf. This defined scope keeps our focus narrow and our experience deep: we understand the procedures, timelines, and expectations of the tribunals and courts we appear before, and we put that specialized knowledge to work resolving your matter efficiently.
All licensed paralegals in Ontario are bound by the Law Society's Paralegal Rules of Professional Conduct, which set out the duties every paralegal must uphold in acting for a client.
Our firm is built on a team of experienced, licensed professionals dedicated to Landlord and Tenant, Small Claims, Provincial Offences, and Human Rights representation.
